Baijayant “Jay” Panda, a prominent Indian politician and the National Vice-President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was born on January 12, 1964, in Cuttack, Odisha. He hails from a family deeply rooted in culture and heritage. His parents, Bansidhar and Ila Panda, instilled in him a strong sense of values and commitment to public service from an early age.
Jay Panda pursued his education in Engineering and Management, culminating in a degree from the prestigious Michigan Technological University. This academic background equipped him with the skills and knowledge to excel both in the corporate world and the realm of Indian politics. In 1994, he embarked on a lifelong journey with former model-turned industrialist Jagi Mangat Panda, and together they have forged a formidable partnership dedicated to the betterment of society.

Notably, Jay Panda played a pivotal role in the BJP National core group, where he articulated and communicated the rationale behind amending Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, a historic moment in the country’s political landscape. Furthermore, his expertise led him to chair the High-Level Expert Committee formed by the Ministry of Defence, tasked with restructuring the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
